Wilderness Days - True jungle stories as never told before...

Our journey through WILD ODISHA continues.

Tomorrow we visit the BHITARKANIKA NATIONAL PARK , a mangrove swamp which lies in the river delta of the Brahmani, Baitarani, and Dhamra rivers at the edge of the Bay of Bengal.

It used to be the hunting grounds of the esrtwhile King of Kanika and is a rare visual treat. It is home to the endangered Olive Ridley Turtles and has one of the largest populations of endangered saltwater crocodile in India - the world’s largest crocodiles growing to a record length of 23 feet!

We then visit the Rushikulya beach - the location of one of the largest mass nesting sites of Olive Ridley Sea Turtles in India.

Also may chase the ‘walking fish’ – nature’s wonders never cease.
